About Mahi Yoga centre in The whispering lakes, Arambol

The shorter course lasts for a month and contains 200 hours, the longer one lasts for 3 months and contains 500 hours. It is conducted in winter time in Arambol beach (Goa) and in Summertime in Mc Leod Ganj (Dharamsala)

The space is always limited and, therefore, pre-registration is necessary.The teacher training course Hatha and Astanga yoga include mediation philology, philosophy, teaching practice theory, kriyas, mantra chanting etc.... and is certified by YOGA ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL

About Mahi:
Mahi was born on the 29th of january 1979 in in a small town in Shidhbari, Dharamsala, a place located in the Indian Himalayas. When Mahi was eleven, his family members, being all Brahmins, taught him yoga. The whole family belonged to the highest class of Indian society, therefore, focused mainly on spiritual development. Mahi’s father was a disciple of Sri Ramana Maharishi’s student. However, not only family members influenced Mahi on his way, he spent a lot of time learning Hatha yoga, Bhakti yoga, Meditation and Karma yoga with monks and swamis at the Lord Shiva Temple in Aghanjar Mahadev, Khaniyara.

By turning eighteen, Mahi went around India to continue his development on the yoga path, staying in Mysore, Bangalore, Rishikesh and some other places, absorbing different styles of teaching. However, it was never enough – so he went to senior Iyengar teachers, learning how to focus on technical aspects of Hatha yoga – alignments and anatomy. He learnt how to use adjustment and asna for a therapeutic effect.

This is exactly what allows Mahi to use yoga as a therapeutic way of healing people with various pathologies of the body.
