About Uravu Bamboo Grove in Thrikkaipetta, Wayanad

“Uravu Bamboo Grove” is an eco-friendly community tourism project located on the elevated and picturesque mountain plateau of Wayanad, Kerala, Southern India. Situated just outside the peaceful Thrikkaipetta Bamboo Village and surrounded by rice fields, the stunning Uravu Bamboo Grove resort encircles a beautiful pond and a bamboo grove.

This eco-responsible resort is based on three major pillars:

1. Encourage the involvement of the local community in the project’s realisation and management.
2. Apply ecological concepts in order that the project is respectful of the environment and ecologically lasting, thanks to waste management, a biomass water heating system, etc.
3. Construction of “design” cottages with mainly local materials, such as bamboo, coconut, mud, leaves, palm and areca nut trees.

We have four different cottages: Eco Nest, Honeymoon Cottage, Rock the Jungle and Style in the Wild.
