About Canaan Charitable Foundation for Human Development in , Vellore

CANAAN Foundation is a charitable organisation formed by
Mr. N. Joseph, a social worker, living at Vellore District in Tamil Nadu, South India. This social organisation was formed to support the persons living below the poverty line where foreign and local assistance are not reached or possible.

The main Idea, Aims and Objective's of this trust is listed below in a nutshell i.e.,

1. Promoting the literacy rate among the illiterate
2. Organize and conduct health and health education program to prevent the spread of communicable illness
3. Upgrade the skills of the illiterate and unemployed person to facilitate them to establish
self-help employment to find a source of income for their survival
4. Prevention of all forms of violence against the women and children
5. Create awareness among the members of the general public to protect the local rural environment from various pollution
6. Rehabilitation of the disabled and destitute women

At present, we have adopted Vellore District as our project area to support the target group to seek the facilities from our organization to rehabilitate their life for a better future. The trust administration is looked after by Five Trustees.

The person or any institution who are willing to support our target group to promote their livelihood to cross their poverty line and free from various disasters and discrimination's are most welcome.
