A hallmark of Vadodara's vivacious culture, Vadodara Marathon has established itself as a movement towards improving the city's fitness, health and lifestyle; by bringing people of all ages and sections of society together, in a culture of "Sports with Seva". Each Marathon promotes local social and civic causes, while encouraging fitness as a lifestyle.
Accredited by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races(AIMS), it is the recipient of the AIMS Gold Medal for 'Smallest city, Biggest Marathon' in 2011.
Vadodara Marathon has successfully conducted 5 editions of Vadodara International Half Marathon, and 1 Queens Run, since its inception in 2009.
Vadodara Marathon comprises of a Managing Committee; a team of over 100 volunteers (who are business owners and entrepreneurs, working professionals and home-makers) and 150 front runners (who are students of various colleges and institutes).
Vadodara Marathon is governed by its Board of Directors.
