About Cell Death & Signaling Group in Department of Bio-Chemistry, Faculty of Science, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara

The Cell Death and Signaling group in Department of Biochemistry is working towards the understanding of cell death and inflammatory pathways activated during physiological and pathological conditions. The major emphasis of the group is to study the role of ubiquitination system specially ubiquitin E3 ligases in NF-kB, IFN, autophagy and apoptotic pathways. The other area of research is to study the mitochondrial targeted miRNA, their physiological relevance in terms of cell death and survival, regulation of mitochondrial dynamics and physiology by ubiquitination system and its modulation by pathogens, dysfunction during onset of tumorigenesis and neurodegeneration.
