ECPA, the 'Ellora Centre for Performing Arts', is a renowned school of Bhartanatyam in Vadodara, founded by Smt. Rema Shrikant.

Rema Shrikant, recipient of “Gaurav Puraskar” from Gujarat State Sangeet Natak Akademi, “Kalashree” award from Kerala State Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and “Anjali Memorial Gold Medal” from M.S. University, is an internationally reputed dancer, brilliant choreographer and an established teacher. From her first public performance at the tender age of six, Rema has to her credit numerous performances. She has performed all over India and also abroad. She is an empanelled artiste with ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. Rema established her dancing institute, Ellora Centre for Performing Arts in 1975 for training students at Vadodara. Rema has worked in the Gujarat government’s vibrant shows as Chief Choreographer including Swarnim Gujarat -2010. She has served in various government appointed cultural committees including Gujarat Sangeet Natak Akademi, Gujarat, West Zone Cultural Committee, Udaipur and Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi.

Rema has performed solo recitals and also with her students in various national and international festivals. In the recent past she was invited to perform in the Russia festival 2009, under the sponsorship of ICCR. She is an empanelled Bharatanatyam artiste with her troupe by the ICCR.
She has served as a member in important cultural committees including the Scholarship interview committee of the Central government, Rabindranath Tagore’s 150th year celebration committee of the West Zone Cultural Center, Gujarat state Sangeet Natak Academy, Gandhinagar, Gujarat Vibrant programme, Gandhinagar etc
Apart from training under veteran Gurus in Bharatanatyam, she holds a master’s degree (M.Mus) with Gold Medal from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara.
Rema has extensively performed in India and abroad including in major countries like USA, UK, Japan and Far East countries. She has choreographed many dance dramas and presented them in national festivals such as Gujaarat Sangeet Natak Festival – Ahmedabad, Uttarardh Dance festival – Modhera, Uday Shankar dance festival - Kolkata, Kalamandalam Saptadi as well as Nila festival in Kalamandalam - Vallathol Nagar, Kerala, Anaya dance festival – Delhi, Kalamandir – Chennai, Chidambaram festival, Swaralaya festival- Palakkad, Soorya festival- Triuvandrum, to mention a few.
Rema established her dancing institute, Ellora Center for Performing Arts in 1975 for training students at Vadodara where has trained disciples and presented many of them with their Arangetram.
Rema has a long association with the Gujarat state government where she has worked in vibrant Gujarat as Choreographer. She has worked as Chief Coordinator in choreography in the Swarnim Jayanti Celebration, 1st May, 2010 where 4000 dancers participated.

ECPA offers training in Bharatanatyam, Choreography works and advanced training for Arangetram students and dance teachers in traditional gurukula style.
