About Space Studio in Space Studio, Chhani, Vadodara

Space Studio is an independent, non for profit organization dedicated to supporting artists and developing creative practice through its studio program. Founded in 2005 by Krupa Amin and Mallika Amin, Space has worked towards offering time, space and support to nurture the integral need of artists.

Located in Vadodara, Space comprises of eleven large (300-600 sq.ft each) individual studios erected in a spacious beautifully converted 1980s factory surrounded by tall trees and lush gardens. With just the right combination of indoor and outdoor working areas it allows for artist to choose their creative space. The facilities include a spacious gallery, which holds a permanent collection of the invited artists as well as other visiting exhibitions and performances, along with an audio-visual and a small library room for artists.

During the last decade, Space has supported more than 150 artists from around the world.
