Lamyim Phungdhar is a small village which lies in the extreme western part of the Ukhrul District. It is a village surrounded by two river on both side-Iril river on the western side and the Rumkhong on the eastern part. Some of the neighboring villages are-kachai on the north, Torah on the south, Tingshong on the west and Kachai Shimphungrim and Maichon on the east. It is a village bestowed with naturally beauty with many beautiful hill tops, lovely lowland areas, small lively plains and a chain of blue mountains. People are mostly agriculturist (because of the fertile soil) and depend much on the nature for their living. One of the amazing part of this village is the availability of all types of seasonal fruits through out the year. Lemon, orange, mango, pineapple, papaya, jack-fruits, banana, etc are some of the major types of fruits.Now a days, many youngsters move out of the village to main towns and other metro cities for their living.
