About Hoode in , Udupi

Hoode is a small fishing village situated about 12.5 kilometres from the temple town of Udupi. The beach at Hoode is frequented by the locals but is unknown to most travellers. Hoode beach is unspoilt and is pretty much empty even on weekends. A single traveller, can laze about on the sand reading a novel in this serene atmosphere while a group of travellers can have a whale of a time playing games in a near empty beach. One can also just sit on one of the rocks taking in the breeze listening to the waves crash against the shore. The best time to visit this beach is in the evening or early morning as it gets very hot during the day. Sunset is a captivating sight and should not be missed. Visiting this beach during the night may not be safe and we discourage outsiders from doing so. Do ask the locals if the waters are safe for a swim and only then venture into the sea. Hoode beach is a place not to be missed and is one of the hidden beaches of coastal Karnataka.
