Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering inherits the academic culture of the traditional Engineering Colleges in Kerala. It is headed by Prof. S Chandrika Devi who has contributed to the moulding of thousands of Electrical Engineers at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam. Elecspires is an association of EEE Department. Faculty members qualified in such areas like “Power System and Power Electronics”, “Embedded Systems”, etc. provide synergy envisaged by the designers of the program, “Electrical & Electronics”. Technocrats who had rich experience in such positions like Deputy Chief Engineer in big organizations like KSEB also instruct the students regularly. The friendly staff members of VKCET take much care to impart the right technical knowledge to the students and also encourage them to develop the skills much required for a budding engineer.


The department of Electrical and Electronics, is one of the largest departments in V K C E T(VALIA KOONAMBAIKULATHAMMA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY) which has well distinguished faculties with industrial as well as professional experiences. The faculties in this department have sound knowledge in their specializations such as power systems , power Electronics ,Electrical Machines ,Industrial Drives ,control Systems etc….The department having well equipped modern laboratories in Electrical machines, Basic electronics and Electrical and electronics workshop to carry out experiments
