4 prototype Versions of our Electronic Ballast technology have:
1. Input Current THD < 3%, THP < 0.004 Watts.
2. Ballast circuits are unearthed, and withstands high Mains Transient Overvoltage of both polarities even with randomly changing phase angle; without any disturbance/ flickering / damage to the lamp & ballast.
3. At 110% of rated input supply voltage, Ballast circuits withstand the “rectifying effect” & “deactivated lamp effect” situations without a cut off circuit; the lamp will be glowing during the entire “rectifying effect”.
4. Withstands critical safety situations like “removal of lamp” and “lamp fail to start”, “lamp is not inserted” and “lamp does not start as one of the cathodes is broken” etc even at 110% of the rated supply voltage; without a cut-off circuit in the ballast circuitry. No line re-switch on is required for the ballast to operate the lamp after these situations.
5. Ballast circuits have “Non-preheat starting mode” and its “starting conditions” parameters viz “open circuit voltage”, “impedance current” and “cathode current” can be measured and controlled as desired in accordance with the lamp specifications; without the ballast going off into a cut-off state at that time.
6. Comply in full with all parameters of safety and performance of the respective IEC and its corresponding Indian standards.
Due to the features 3,4 & 5, and as the principle of operation of Linear Fluorescent Lamps are same irrespective of its power or type, all versions of our Ballast circuits can be "fine tuned", with ideal performance results, for perfectly compatible operation with all types of LFL’s. The buyer of technology can file independent patents directly for all the so “fine tuned” wattage's of electronic ballast on a country wise basis.
