About Krushil Kandu Njan Nin Snehathe in , Thrissur

“My God, My God why have thy forsaken me?” These were the words of Jesus to His father as he hung there on the cross.

We see that Jesus existed even before the world began and He was with His Father in heaven (John 1:1). All throughout His life He had constant communion with His Father. Face to Face. Everything that Father did, Jesus was involved. Be it the creation, be it the life and death, be it anything. They can never be separated.

But Jesus had to go through the terrible times of suffering where God the Father had let him all alone on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus had His entire ministry on earth with Father being on His side and he also testifies about Father being with Him to the people around. (John 5:31-47, 10:30,38)

But it was those painful moments, where the sin of the world was upon the Jesus and Father who was Holy, had to cover His face from Him. All throughout Jesus’ life, he lived communing with God the Father, but now had to be separated from His presence. The roman soldiers tortured Him, pulled His beard, spat on His face, and finally nailed Him alive to the Cross. His disciples, who were with Jesus for 3years, who decided to die with Him, ran away. His pain and agony was mocked and ridiculed with more insults. No one to fight for Him, no one to comfort Him.

But the most hurting was when God the Father was not there. “My God, My God, why have thy forsaken me”?

All this He did, was for you and for me (John 10:14-18). So that you and I can be saved (Acts 16:31). So that you and I can live a life, that would never separate us from the Love of God (Romans 8:38). So that you and I can live eternally with Him (John 5:24)

Today you might be feeling lonely, betrayed, depressed or unwanted. Jesus went through the same on the cross. And because of His sacrifice, your life has been made precious. His love for you was so much that even if you were the only person on earth, He would still die for you.Today, He is risen and has victory over death and hell.

So let us all commit our lives to the love of the One who committed His for us.

“And know that I am with you always, until the end of the world”. (Mt. 28:20)
