About Bharat Sevak Samaj Renewable Energy Division in Sooryam, Brahmin's colony lane, Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram

Bharat Sevak Samaj is a National Development Agency, Promoted by planning Commission, Govt. of India formed to ensure public Co-operation in the implementation of National plans. The main purpose behind its formation is to initiate a nation-wide non official and non political organization with the object of enabling individual citizen to contribute, in the form of an organized co-operative effort for the implementation of National Development Plan. The constitution and functioning of BSS is unanimously approved by the Indian Parliament. Sri Jawaharlal Nehru is the founder President of BSS.

Renewable Energy division is the newest division formed by BSS, the main purpose of the division is Empowerment of India by development of a renewable energy Pathway through promotion of solar power and to ensure sustainable development and reduction of environmental pollution.In India Power Shortage has been identified as a major hurdle in our process of development. The best available source of clean energy at an economic pricing would be Solar Energy. Hence solar energy would be the power of the future. The best solution to the power crisis would be saving power, as saving is much more economical than power generation. This mission emphasizes on saving power through the use of solar energy and by providing Solar solutions to 5 lakhs household across India and also by saving power through elimination of transmission losses. Moreover this mission envisages a programme where in no cost will have to be spend on infra structure. At the same time it would provide thousands of employment opportunities throughout the Nation.
