About Nanthuni Folks in Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram

Nanthuni folk and traditional arts learning centre (Nanthuni Naadan Kala Padana Kendram) is an initiative from the Maruthi Marma Chikilsa and Kalari Sangham to revive the forgotten traditional and folk art forms of Kerala.

The school plans to achieve this by imparting knowledge about the various arts forms(under Nanthuni art forms) to its students, and through public performances. The school has been in the quest to re-discover different folk art forms and folk songs for the past two years from various places of Kerala and several public performances have been conducted. Classes have also been conducted at various schools to spread awareness.

Art forms such as "Naadan Paattu"(folk song), "Charadupinni Kalli", "Kolattam", "Thalattam", "Thiruvathira" and "Kaakarishi Naadakam" are being taught at the school.

Classes are conducted every Sunday at Maruthi Marma Chikilsa and Kalari Sangham, Mudavanmugal, Poojapura, Kerala.
