Andhra University Campus, Tadepalligudem was established in the year 2004 at D.R.G. Goenka Government Degree College, Pentapadu. Subsequently it has been shifted to its own new Campus with all infrastructural facilities and was ready for transformation into a University in a couple of years. Within two years it carved a niche for itself in the field of higher education by offering prestigious courses like M.B.A, M.Ed. M.A.(English), M.CA etc. The purpose of the establishment of this Campus is to extend higher educational opportunities to the unreached sections of the community.
The Campus is situated in the sprawling 100 acres of land which is 02 K.M away from the town. The town is well connected with railways and roadways. The present building is raised in the 30 acres with a well protected compound wall.
