About Islamic Study Circle, J&K - Central Office Balgarden in Balgarden, Srinagar

Islamic Study Circle is a non-profit, apolitical socio-educational NGO of Jammu & Kashmir. This organization was established in 1968 with the sole aim of providing a medium for meaningful intellectual interaction and an effective platform for the activists working in the field of Islamic Dawah and education.

The founding of ISC (Islamic Study Circle) proved to be a revolutionary step and soon Darsgahs (Islamic Education Centers) were established in different places where children and youth were imparted Islamic moral Education and were taught to recite Qur’an. Adult Education Centers as also the Islamic Libraries were established. The people associated with these darsgahs exhibited high moral character and zealously involved themselves in the betterment of the society. As a result social service centers and help centers were created.

Today the organization which has its Central Office at Balgarden Srinagar serves as a premier socio-educational Islamic organization of J&K and has its branches spread across length and breadth of the valley.
