About J & K Yateem Foundation in (Bait-ul-Hilal) 42-A Al-Farooq Colony, Jawahar Nagar,, Srinagar

In view of ever- increasing number of sufferers in Jammu and Kashmir State, since 1990, Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation was established on 15th March 2000 (8th Zilhaja 1420 AH Wednesday). In this regard the first advertisement of Foundation comprising the verse no. 8 and 9 of Surah Dahar of Al-Quran was published on 14th August 2000 in weekly “The Chattan” Srinagar. The Foundation is a non-political, non-Government organization working for the welfare of orphans, widows, handicapped persons, poor and other destitute without any consideration of religion, race and region.
Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation is registered with Registrar of Societies, J&K Government under Registration No: 3758-S of 2001 and registered with Home Ministry of India, under Foreign Contribution Regulations Act (FCRA). This voluntary and charitable organization is also registered with income tax department for income tax exemption granted under Section 80-G and is also registered in the Court of Law through a Trust Deed.
