FJEDP was formed in January 2013, by the family members of disappeared people of Jammu and Kashmir. Headed by it's chairman Zahoor Ahmed Mir, son of ali Mohammad mir (disappeared). FJEDP has a clear objective of justice to those who have been kidnapped and later disappeared. There are 10,000 such cases in Jammu and Kashmir and FJEDP stands for all of them irrespective of who is who within and outside the organisation. Fjedp wants world to hear voice, sorrows, misseries and vows of their family members. Fjedp is completely indigenous having no affiliation with any political party or organisation what so ever. Fjedp demands justice for all who have been victim to enforced disappearances. Fjedp demands punishment to those who executed such operations.

FJEDP MEMBERS have unearthed And identified some unknown graves, demanding an immediate DNA test of those who are burried in such graves, they fear, that they me their kith and kin buried in such graves which are more than 2700.

Fjedp in order to invite the attention of people who believe in justice are usually holding demonstrations and seminars for seeking redesrsal to their grievances. We hope that the world community will not only take notice of this serious issue but also wil use there influences and respective offices in order to impress upon government of india and the people at the helm of affairs in j&k state to find out the disappeared people dead or alive. Until an unless the real justice is not granted to all the members of fjedp the just struggle will continue. We want that The people who are involved in forcable disappearance should be brought to book in order to meet the ends of justice. On the enology of universal brotherhood we again appeal to the human consiouns in general and jurists in particular to hear us and support us.

About Chairman

Zahoor Ahmed Mir was born in 1974 on the outskirts of Srinagar. Zahoor went to school till 8th standard and left education for helping his father in his family business. Zahoor and his disappeared father ali Mohammad mir were involved in family business till June 1996, after that what happened changed zahoor's life for ever. His father was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in June 1996, who were later identified as ikwanis government protected gunmen, and till date there are no whereabouts of zahoor's father. Zahoor is fighting the case of his father from 1996 till date in the court of law, After years of efforts and hardwork Zahoor finally successed in getting accused arrested in 2007. Namely papa kistiwari who is responsible for 27 such kidnappings and disappearances ! Zahoor is still crying for justice in the court of law, where papa k is facing the trials. Zahoor in these 17 years lost everything, no business, no source of income, yet being a firm believer in rule of law is hopeful that one-day he will get justice to his satisfaction.
