About Central University of Kashmir Department of Law in NOWGAM, Srinagar

A warm welcome to all the students who aspire to be a part of the academic fraternity at Central University of Kashmir. This is the third year of our academic journey and during the last two years, we have covered many milestones and emerged as an institution of quality learning.
Pending the establishment of the University at Ganderbal, the University is currently operational from a Transit Campus at Sonwar, Srinagar and an Academic Block at Magarmal Bagh, Srinagar. With a humble beginning in 2010 with just three post graduate programmes, the University is already offering nine post graduate programmes viz: MBA, M.SC. IT., M.A. Economics, M.A convergent Journalism, M.A. / M.Sc. Mathematics, M.A Urdu, M.A Education, M.A Tourism Management and one integrated BA LLB programme. We are committed to provide excellent infrastructure and highly professional and competent faculty to our students besides all other student support services.

The land for the permanent campus stands transferred to the University and the planning and the development of the permanent campus is underway. We are hopeful that in the near future, the University will be operational from its permanent campus at Ganderbal. Launching of various professional jobs oriented programmes having relevance at regional, national and international level; development of contemporary curricula; meeting various benchmarks of quality assurance and development of a healthy governance structure in the University are our priorities. The University follows a student centric teaching approach to ensure a learning environment that produces academically sound and morally upright students who can take on the challenges of the present day life and would be productive individuals in the emerging, knowledge society.
