Nanjiah Lingammal Polytechnic college, which started functioning from the year 1984 at Mettupalayam, Coimbatore District, situated amidst the serene foothills of Ooty, is sponsored by Tamilnadu Kalvikappu Arakkattalai at Chennai, established under Trust Act. The main aims in establishing this Trust was to promote education in general and facilitate quality education especially for socially and economically deprived AND downtrodden younger generation and equip them to meet the global challenges in development, innovation and application of technology for the benefit of humanity, thereby engendering an egalitarian society.

We assiduously promote in our student’s a sense of neighbourhood, so that they appreciate the role of the college and nurture in them a concern for all-particularly the less privileged, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

The Institute has extensively stocked library, spacious class rooms, sophisticated laboratories for interactive teaching and learning. Hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls, having all modern comforts.

The Institution is managed by eminent persons Thiru.K.Muthusamy Secretary & Administrative Officer Thiru.TTS.Baskaran.

The present Principal Thiru M.Shanmugam, is a renowned academician and able administrator, under whose stewardship the college is growing from strength to strength. The college council meets regularly with the principal to assess the progress of the college and make sure that Nanjiah Lingammal Polytechnic College, is not just another Institution but a place where students, staff and workers live and grow in a manner that will benefit society and the country.
