Bull's Retreat is named after its mentor Col. Narinder ‘Bull’ Kumar, one of India's most celebrated mountaineer, who first planted India’s flag on the Siachen Glacier in 1981. What started off as a “Jungle Camp” over 30 years ago, is today a resort that welcomes adventurers and pilgrims alike.

The resort is an initiative of MHE Adventure Holidays - one of the pioneers of adventure travel in India that set up base in 1982, and is a partner of Mercury Travels - a leading travel agency. Until 2010 the resort, where it stands today, was MHE's "jungle camp" for the lovers of white water rafting in Rishikesh, and also its base camp for all other adventure activities in the Uttarakhand region. Today of course, Bull's Retreat is a 14-room resort with convenient access for pilgrims moving on further and for white-water rafters looking for warm cozy comfortable nights after a hard day's rafting!
