About Shilon Resort in Shlion Bagh, Shimla

Just 24kms from bustling Shimla Mall Road, a very exclusive luxury experience awaits visitors. Set in 40acres of landscaped gardens, apples and cherry orchards, SHILON RESORT is located at a height of 7200 ft above sea level.

Based on a unique architectural concept (inspired by ethnic Himachali village), the resort layout consists of residential cottages that are independent, yet interlinked. The resort comprises of 25 standard cottages, 19 deluxe cottages and 3 duplex cottages.

Each cottage is equipped to provide satellite TV, Channel music, private balcony/garden directly overlooking the valley, same day laundry service, hot water geysers and tea/coffee maker.

If this is not satisfying, make a half day trip to Maharaja of Patiala's "Chail Palace" for lunch and experience the taste of royal hospitality. The Palace is a hit both with honeymooners, families and for conferences. The multi-cuisine serves Indian, Chinese, Himachali and Continental cuisine. There are quaint little fireplaces in most rooms, adding a little romantic touch apart from keeping one warm in winters.

"Shopper- holics" must visit the famous and most centrally located Shimla Mall Road. Once established by the British Empire, "The Mall" is known as "Shoppers' Paradise". It is embellished with varieties of departmental stores, shops, showrooms and restaurants. Apart from the shopping attraction, there is century old church and temple located nearby. The Scandal Point, which is located at the end of the Mall road in Shimla attracts large number of tourists for its scenic and picturesque view.

A "Must See" tourist spot near Shilon, is Kufri. 8kms away from the resort, Kufri offers some great Hiking, skiing, beautiful scenes and a cool environment. It is famous for its trekking and hiking trails. It has a Himalayan Nature park and close by is the Indira Tourist Park with HPTDC's Cafe. Indira Park provides some great views of the nearby places. Here one can enjoy a Pony or a Yak Ride.
