Kisan Manch Initiative
“Kisan Manch” is an initiative to bring farmers and farming community close to its end users, service providers and facilitators and provide them the benefits by cutting across the multiple channels of communication. Idea is to create a mobile e-commerce platform that is also a low-cost fulfillment system focused on the needs of rural India. This system will help in rural transformation and would help to alleviate rural isolation, create more transparency for farmers, and improve their productivity and incomes. This mobile e-commerce platform would be supported by trained and efficient manpower on the Ground, which would interact on day-to-day basis with the farmer’s community

Powering Rural India with Information Technology
Young Team of Professional from versatile fields have joined together to start this initiative with a passion to serve the rural India. Rural India will take years to develop the IT Infrastructure and this Agro Farm Venture’s rural initiative would take technology right to the fields of Farmers. The company intends to builds an eco system, which is more on field and ground rather than locked in the some service centre for farmers. We would reach out to far flung villages, hinterlands, which still remain liability for government
Agro Farm Ventures Pvt. Ltd has an ambitious Plan to establish a team of trained coordinators among the farmers who would reach out to every individual to village level with the knowledge and tools provided by Agro Farm Ventures Pvt. Ltd and would ultimately a create a unique Rural ecosystem for collaboration and cooperation among the farming community.

“Kisan Manch” Business Model.
Significant Investment is made in creating a powerful backend system, which has a large database of the farmers, which would have an access to the end users, service providers and facilitators. A local team on the Ground would connect the farming community with the outside world with powerful IT and e-commerce tools which would be on mobile platform rather than concentrated into any centers. Every district of the State would have one coordinator who would be educated and highly skilled to work on this IT platform. Under each coordinator there would be one sub -coordinator who would be assigned specific number of villages to be handled. On an average on subordinator would handle 40 panchyats
In the second phase of development of the “Kisan Manch” Platform, the registered farmers would get regular updates on their mobile phone daily closing prices on local mandis and find information about new farming techniques. They can use mobile IT Platform to order seed, fertilizer, and other products such as consumer goods from “Kisan Manch” partners, at prices lower than those available from traders. They also would have access to dedicated call centre which provides various services like transportation, credits services for farmers, storage, collection, etc.
“Kisan Manch” at later stages would also set up the collection centers for direct procurement with their partners where Farmers benefit from more accurate weighing, faster processing time, and prompt payment, and from access to a wide range of information, including accurate market price knowledge, and market trends, which help them, decide when, where, and at what price to sell. “Kisan Manch” is exploring partnering with banks to offer farmers access to credit, insurance, and other services that are not currently offered. All the services are being launched in the phased manner over next couple of months.

Promoting Collaborations
An increasing number of farmers are looking to work more closely with companies and service providers in agriculture oriented economy. This can be achieved by providing an access to the companies to reach out directly to the farmers so that farmers can explain to them their key requirements. Kisan Manch would bring this collaboration for knowledge sharing, which would help in finding long term answers to the challenge of creating a greater future for farming in Rural India.

Promoting Research & Development
Kisan Manch would bring in Agriculture Universities, Colleagues, Schools, academicians & Scientists on the same table to undertake research and development assignment addressing the key issues which are hindrances in the growth of the rural agriculture sector in India. These research & development activities would go a long way in creating strong movement towards greater collaboration between the farming community and the Education Sector which would drive the future of innovation in this sector.
