In the recent budget of the Indian Government special emphasis is given to the Development of Skilled Manpower as over 50 million manpower with different skill sets is required in coming ten years. NATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY has been put up by the Government to assist this SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Today almost all large companies in the world including those in Fortune 500 list have established their base in India or looking forward to one. This has brought in highly sophisticated manufacturing lines as well as other machineries to India. On the other hand India produces close to one million engineers/technicians every year from its IITs, NITs, engineering colleges, institutions spread all over India. Yet more than 50 % of these engineers and technicians are unemployed or ill-employed on one hand and the Industry talks of shortage of manpower with desired skills.
This gap in the skills required by the Industry and those imparted through our education system was felt by us during our various business interactions with our customers. This gap is very high especially in the area of Automation where in the technology has changed and keeps on changing at fast rate. With this need for PRE-TRAINED ENGINEERS/TECHNICIANS FOR INDUSTRY concept was born GATS – GARUTMAAN AUTOMATION AND TRAINING SOLUTIONS to impart Industry Oriented Training in Automation. All the four promoters of GATS have been connected with major areas of Automation – Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical & Electronics, PLC,SCADA etc for last over 35 years.
GATS is offering the certificate course in Automation – an 8 weeks program with equal focus on the practical and theoretical content but with a strong bias on the practical side. The different modules of the program are
1. Electrical automation
2. Electronic Automation
3.Basic PLC
4.Advanced PLC
5.SCADA and HMI
6.Basic Hydraulics and Pneumatics
7. Advanced Hydraulics and Pneumatics
8. Integration of Mechanical and Electricals- Mechatronics

Ideally we recommend the complete program of 8 weeks however the students can select either one or more modules from the above and we would offer them Training in only these modules.

Maharashtra Education Society (MES) – one of the oldest education institutions in Pune is supporting this initiative and joined hands with GATS and the program will be conducted under the Community College initiative started by Maharashtra Education Society. The state of art class rooms with audio visual facilities, separate electrical, electronics, PLC labs and Hydraulic and pneumatic training facilities are available for better understanding of the students. Hence the students completing this program will definitely enhance the employability of the candidate or even venturing on their own.

GATS would also interact with the Industry and make the Industry aware about the advantages in hiring Pre-trained engineer/technician as it would definitely reduce the training needs of such person.
