About Matoshree Orphanage in Matoshree Orphans Home, Pimple Gurav, Pune

Matoshree is an orphans home run by a family.
They look after 12 children, all of whom go to school and are bright and mischievous.
The family have taken responsibility of the children's education and upbringing. They pay out of their own pockets and through donations from others.
The monthly rent is Rs 12,000.
They pay Rs 6000 monthly for milk ( 4 liters per day) and Rs 6000 for vegetables.
They registered with the government in 2004 but are yet to receive funds from the government. Apparently, there is a waiting list and they don't satisfy some conditions like having a proper shelter.
