About Kcalpana Kala Kendra in L-101 Sector-11, Noida

Kcalpana Kala Kendra, a registered Trust working from Noida, was established in Kolkata in 1977 as Anupam Kala Kendra, a registered school.

The Kendra is into awakening the minds of young and old through the medium of teaching and performing Indian and western culture, heritage and traditions. The students imbibe all kinds of learning from the Kendra.

The Kendra imparts knowledge of ‘Indian ness’ in the children and parents who come to learn. Small things like respecting elders, following rules, maintaining Discipline are inculcated amongst the students.The Kendra acts as a mirror to the learners to reflect their inner beauty and hidden talents whish is expressed through the various forms of styles of dance and music. Here they are taught that only academic education is not enough to make a living. Kcalpana Kala Kendra gives the option of making a leisurely activity to change not only into a hobby but also as career option which can bein the form of part time earning and also as a serious minded full time profession.

Kcalpana Kala Kendra has very well versed, qualified and experienced faculties. The Kendra has an audition specially meant for the instructors where they are judged not only for their area of expertise but their nature, character and upbringing is also taken into account. The Kendra believes the teacher is a Guru and makes the students mentality and thus his life. The main styles taught are Indian classical Bharathanatyam, Kathak ,Western Classical Ballet, Jazz, Street Jazz, Funk Jazz, HipHop, BBoying, Locking Popping, Salsa, Belly dancing and in Music Hindustani classical Vocal Plus instrumental music in which the Kendra has faculties for Synthesizer, Guitar, Harmonium, Tabla, Sitar, Violin, etc. The Kendra also teaches Gymnastics which trains the students to be not only physically fit but also mentally strong and disciplined..

Kcalpana Kala Kendra is an institute where anyone having interest in dance, music or such pleasurable yet knowledgeable activities is given admission and where age, sex, status and education is not a barrier. The time is adjustable and flexible, keeping into account various reasons and availability of the student who may be a homemaker or a professional or a student or working in shifts like a call centre employee. This is done only to facilitate people to do what they want to but could not due to any reason or excuse.
Kendra wants anyone and everyone to become an artist and blossom their passion or interest.
Dr. Kcalpana, the inceptor and president of Kcalpana kala Kendra, strongly believes in giving away scholarships to students who are talented but have not been able to learn because of monetary restrictions. Dr. Kcalpana zealously recommends and puts up stage shows for the students of the Kendra.
Kcalpana Kala Kendra, though very young on the horizon, has already performed for numerous occasions and esteemed organizations, some of them being SAM, a self assessment program founded by Shree Ashutosh Maharaj, ; Tender Heart, a Faridabad based NGO devoted to physically and mentally handicapped children ; Punjab Kesari Senior Citizens Club ; Ford Motors ; IMS, A Management school and lots of workshops where people from all walks of life were taught basics of different styles of dancing.
