About Delhi Wushu in Training Center , Laxmibai Nagar, New Delhi

The official page of - Delhi Amateur Wushu Association @ DAWA was set up in 1999. Delhi Wushu is now running under the aegis of its Working President, Dr. S R K Varshney, IFS & General Secretary, Mr. Chander Shkehar. DAWA is the official body representing Delhi in various National and international Wushu competitions. Wushu is a well known Chinese Martial Arts form, which is taken and recognized as a sport by almost all International sports bodies. Wushu is a sports category in World Games, Asian Games, SAF Games, Asian Indoor Games. Asian Martial Art Games, World Championships and many more.

The Delhi Amateur Wushu Association has been silently working towards training students in the sport and working tirelessly to make people aware about the game and to make it much more popular. To achieve this aim Delhi Amateur Wushu Association on its own conducts events such as National & State Wushu Competitions to make the game popular and provide its students with match practice and keep them involved and in the groove for bigger successes. The students have also responded pretty well by bagging medals in various International Wushu Competitions and have brought laurels not only for the Delhi but also for the nation.

We at the Delhi Amateur Wushu Association take great pride in our students and their success brings in much more responsibility on our shoulders and inspires us to work harder and provide to them more and better opportunities to showcase their talent and zeal. This effort of our also goes in tandem with our aim of making the game more popular than what it currently is.
