Thousands of devotees of Lord Shri Balaji comes every day to Balaji Temple to pay homage. It is the belief that lord Shri Balaji not only cure the “sankat” but also provide “riddi and Siddi”.

Mehandipur Balaji
As the legend goes, around 1000 years ago the images of lord Shri Balaji, Shri Pretraj Sarka...r and Shri Bhairav dev appeared in the valley of the hills of Arawali range.
The appearance of Lord Shri Balaji in Arawali hills is chamatkar of this saga. Shri Ganesh Puri ji Maharaj was 11th Mahant of this temple. Earlier this area was thick and dense forest, full of wild animals. The ancestor of Shri Mahantji saw the lila of Shri Balaji in dreams indicating three divine deity and magnificent temple. He also heared divine voice ordering “get up and be prepared for my duty”. But he was unable to see any one. Ultimately Lord Shri Balaji appeared before him and ordered ”Take duty of serving me”.

The ancestor of Shri Mahantji started puja and arti regularly. In early days of puja some miscreants tried to dig out the deity but they could not reach the bottom of the statue as it is the part of the hill “ Kanak Bhoodharakar Shareera”. There is small pot in feet of deity . The water in this pot never dries due to continuous flow of water from left side of chest of statue of lord Shri Balaji .


On reaching Mehandipur Balaji the people come to know how malignant/ evil sprit and black magic cast their spell and how the sankatwalas get relief/cured from sprits and ills.

गीता में भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने कहा था जब-जब धर्म की हानि होती है, तब-तब मेरी कोई शक्ति इस धरा धाम पर अवतार लेकर भक्तों के दु:ख दूर करती है और धर्म की स्थापना करती है। अंजनी कुमार श्री बाला जी घाटा मेहंदीपुरमें प्रादुर्भाव इसी उद्देश्य से हुआ है। घाटा मेहंदीपुरमें भगवान महावीर बजरंगबली का प्रादुर्भाव वास्तव में इस युग का चमत्कार है। राजस्थान राज्य के दो जिलों सवाईमाधोपुरव दौसामें विभक्त घाटा मेहंदीपुरस्थान बड़ी लाइन बांदी कुईस्टेशन से जो कि दिल्ली, जयपुर, अजमेर अहमदाबाद लाइन पर 24मील की दूरी पर स्थित है। अब तो हिण्डौनआगरा, कानपुर, मथुरा, वृंदावन,दिल्ली जयपुर, अजमेर अहमदाबाद लाइन पर 24मील की दूरी पर स्थित है। अब तो हिण्डौनआगरा, कानपुर, मथुरा, वृन्दावन, दिल्ली आदि से जयपुर जाने वाली सभी बसें बालाजीमोड़ पर रुकती है। यहां तीनों देवों की प्रधानताहै। श्री बालाजीमहाराज श्री प्रेतराजसरकार और श्री कोतवाल (भैरव) यह तीन देव यहां आज से लगभग एक हजार वर्ष पूर्व प्रकट हुए थे। इनके प्रकट होने से लेकर अब तक बारह महंत इस स्थान पर सेवा पूजा कर चुके हैं जिनमें अब तक इस स्थान के दो महंत इस समय भी विद्यमान हैं। किसी शासक ने श्री बाला जी महाराज की मूर्ति को खोदने का प्रयत्‍‌न किया, सैकड़ों हाथ खोद देने के बाद भी जब मूर्ति के चरणों का अंत नहीं पाया तो वह हार मानकर चला गया। वास्तव में इस मूर्ति को अलग से किसी कलाकार ने गढ़कर नहीं बनाया है, अपितु यह तो पर्वत का ही अंग है।

यह समूचा पर्वत ही मानो उनका कनक मूधराकारशरीर है। इस मूर्ति के चरणों में एक छोटी सी कुडीथी जिसका जल कभी भी खत्म नहीं होता था, यह रहस्य है कि महाराज की बायीं छाती के नीचे एक बारीक जल धारा बहती रहती है, जो पर्याप्त चोला चढ़ जाने के बाद भी बन्द नहीं होती है। यहां की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह है कि मूर्ति के अतिरिक्त किसी व्यक्ति विशेष का कोई चमत्कार नहीं है। यहां प्रमुख है सेवा और भक्ति।
