About Studio 51 in Friends Colony, New Delhi

Having pursued an M.A. in Literature and Visharad in Kathak Dance & Music, Madhavi shifted her focus and studied photography from ICPP (NIFT), where she was conferred with the best student’s award. Thereafter she worked under the guidance and support of the celebrated photographer S.Paul; and is now working as a freelance portrait and fine art photographer.

A specialist in portraiture, architecture and travel, she received instant recognition with her solo show titled 'Corridors' in 2003 that captured Delhi’s architectural splendour in black and white photographs. She has photographed celebrities like Karan Johar, Zohra Segal and Rohit Bal to name a few and also contributed photo-features for respected magazines like Inside Outside, Ellle Decor, India Today, Travel Plus and Jetwings. Her work has been recognized globally and received praises from around the world including a special commendation from the International Director, Asian Art, Christie’s.

She has held several group and solo shows. Her participation in numerous reputed exhibitions and features for magazines attracted an overwhelming response and made many noticeable names buy her collections including the U.K. High Commissioner to U.A.E., Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India and Osian’s Art Connoisseurs.
She also spends time in conducting specialised photography workshops in schools and colleges, having organized photography workshops at Wigan & Leigh. Madhavi has also been a guest lecturer at workshops in Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi.
