Nooshe Joon - "eat it to your health", it literally means may your soul be nourished. It can be said at the beginning or end of a meal. At the beginning, it means bon appetit, and at the end, it's the cook's reply after you thank them.

Situated in the Middle East and West Asia with a diverse population, the Iranian culinary style is unique to Iran, though has historically both influenced and has been influenced by Iran's neighboring and conquered regions at various stages throughout its history. Specifically, these have been mutual culinary influences to and from Turkish cuisine, Azerbaijani cuisine, Kurdish cuisine, Caucasian cuisine, Mesopotamian cuisine, Levantine cuisine, Greek cuisine, Central Asian cuisine, and minor aspects from Russian cuisine.

Fresh green herbs are frequently used along with fruits such as plums, pomegranates, prunes, apricots, and raisins. Typical Persian main dishes are combinations of rice with meat, such as lamb, chicken, or fish, and vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, various herbs, and nuts. To achieve a balanced taste, characteristic Persian flavorings such as saffron, dried lime, cinnamon, and parsley are mixed delicately and used in some special dishes.

Lajpal Singh Anand , born and brought up in Tehran, Iran, is the inspiration behind this venture. During the last sixty years, his being has been infused with the rich culture and cuisine of Iran. His gracious hospitality and cheerful persona, has attracted many visitors and friends from across the globe. Passionate about cooking Kebabs for his family and friends, he along with his son Daanesh Singh Anand, would love to share their skillfully cooked delicacies with all of you. Nooshe Joon, a venture that they hold so dearly, brings to you an eatery with delectable and tasteful Iranian kebabs that have never been experienced in India before.
