About MODICARE FOUNDATION in 17 Community Centre, New Friends Colony, New Delhi

A brief note on our ongoing projects:

AMBASSADORS OF CHANGE
Adolescence undoubtedly is the most crucial part of our life. During this phase a number of changes begin to occur. There are doubts and confusions in the minds of teenagers who are often torn between what they are told by their parents, what they find outside and what they actually want to do. All this leaves an impact on the family and particularly with adolescents. Keeping the above in mind Modicare Foundation implemented ‘Ambassadors of Change (AOC)’ program through which we work with children in the age group of 10-19 years, covering topics such as ‘-Growing up concerns’ and HIV/AIDS through Life Skills approach.
The AOC programme has been received very well in schools all over the capital and this year our Foundation has been invited by over 20 schools and NGOs to conduct the program

EMPHASIS
Enhancing Mobile Populations’ Access to HIV & AIDS Services, Information and Support (EMPHASIS) is a 5-year initiative that began in August 2009.
Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, and supported by CARE India, the project aims to reduce the vulnerability of key mobile populations to HIV & AIDS, panned along two crucial mobility routes, Bangladesh to India and Nepal to India by providing focused interventions at source, transit and destination points.
The inception year of EMPHASIS has been categorized as the ‘Knowledge Building Phase’ wherein activities such as reviewing available verifiable data to help identify knowledge gaps regarding key mobile population and their specific vulnerabilities, considering existing good practice and lessons learnt from similar initiatives in the past will be the focus.
The Foundation has played a key role in conceiving and administering various mapping tools which have enhanced the identification process of the target population and helped to successfully implement and fulfil the project’s aspirations
