About Hamaari Ummeed - Spasht Uddeshya in Flat No. C-2 Banda Bahadur Apartment Rohini Sector -14 Parsant Vihar, New Delhi

“Hamaari Ummeed” A Youth campaign, initiative of A Group Of Secular Young People joined Hands in a Community of Peace was launched in 21 Dec, 03 & Registered under trust act in 2009. It was viewed as an effort to build and nurture space where people from diverse backgrounds come together as equal partners to try and craft a collective response to the politics of hate and division that was sweeping hearts and minds across the world. They were deeply committed for constructing a collective and a series of initiatives that reflected their respect for equity and diversity – of gender, religious faith, class and caste – and values of Social justice, Harmony, UNification & peace. The collective was called ‘Hamaari Ummeed’ (Trust).
In Delhi, the collective decided to work with the most dispossessed resident of the metropolis street girls and boys. This formed the genesis of ‘Hamaari Ummeed campaign’
The campaign is working to secure the rights of the most vulnerable urban elder boys, those who are forced to make street and railway platforms their home and who earn their living by picking rags, begging or other street based work. It aims at extending to these boys comprehensive care in open residential home including mainstream education, vocational training and also the job opportunities in close integration with children who have families.
IIn 2010 Hamaari Ummeed Opened its first Residential Educational After Care Center for the Elder Boys Age 18 to 25

Hamaari Ummeed Launched A New Project Spasht Uddeshya to design A Complete Educational Programme to find Real Career & passion In Life for Street Working Elder Boys, Drop Out Children and Children who are In Need Care & Protection In 2011 & Register It in 2012.
Introduction of Spasht Uddeshya.
Drop Out children need education options that include life and work skills focused courses and programs designed to help them successfully transition into mainstream education, all of which must be innovative, engaging and flexible. A multi-grade bridge curriculum, with accelerated learning options, customized for each child according to individual needs and aspirations needs to be developed. The objective is to help them achieve a level where they can be mainstreamed into the formal education system, so that each may acquire certification, through regular school, open school, distance learning programs etc. The design and implementation of the course should be in consultation with as many partners to ensure synergistic use of best practices in education. It should specify clear mechanism of mainstreaming children into a formal education system of choice. It should also include a strong assessment system to diagnose need and monitor learning and development of individual students. In order to enrich the program and make it comprehensive, it has to be supplemented with engaging and relevant components, including theatre, lectures , movies , multimedia content etc, In addition to this it should include Regular teachers’ trainings and capacity building modules to assist teachers to excel and enjoy their engagement with children.
