About Kamaan Drama Society in Jangpura metro station, New Delhi

KAMAAN
K Harish Singh after finishing his film and Video Course fron NID, in 2012 (National Institute of Design), Ahmedabad, left for Mumbai.

There, he worked under film-makers Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Bannerjee, Shlok Sharma and Anand Gandhi (viz. Haraamkhor, Bombay Talkies and The Ship of Thesus), for a few years, returned to Delhi.

The group which specializes in Film and theatre was founded by him in early 2013.

He had been a part of a four feature films.

Tushar Vashishta left his job in Finance and banking and took over as the Treasurer in the beginning.

Harish has successfully combined excerpts from traditional Indian theatre and the Western proscenium theatre, which they implement in their Street plays and stage shows.

Under the same company the film branch works by the name of My-Crow Thinking. In films they have been making documentaries and short films on social issues like women empowerment, smoking, Industrial safety with partners like United Nations and Pravaah.

The founder brings along the knowledge of films he has been a part of in Mumbai and of the theatre groups he has been a part of in Delhi and Mumbai.

In this long process of learning from the stage and from the sets, the founder has developed a unique set of exercises and games which the group happily follows.
