Sh Vikas Pahwa Senior Advocate is in active practice of law from the last 24 years. He is a third generation, Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. He specializes in Criminal Law and handles cases pertaining to Anti-Corruption Laws, Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, FEMA, Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Official Secrets Act, Customs Act, White Collar Crimes and matrimonial matters. He has appeared in more than 20 High Courts in India and has represented clients from different sphere of lives.
In Jan 2008 he was appointed as Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal) to represent Delhi Police. In Jan 2009 he was appointed as the Standing Counsel, CBI. He was designated as Senior Advocate in Aug.2011.
He has done cases in India and abroad. In 2015 he conducted a Felony Trial along with the local Greek lawyers in Athens (Greece). The Client was honorably acquitted of all the criminal charges. In March 2017 he appeared in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Greece to oppose the motion to vacate filed by the Prosecutor against the judgment of Acquittal. The appeal of the State was dismissed in July 2017. He has also appeared before the Court of Dubai International Financial Center, Dubai headed by Justice David Steel in Dubai.
He represented Maruti Suzuki India Limited in ‘Manesar Factory Riot case’ occurred in July 2012 and successfully prosecuted 148 workers. After the trial 31 accused persons were convicted out of which 13 got life imprisonment in March 2017.
He is appearing pro bono for ‘Association for the Victim of Uphaar Tragedy’ in Uphaar Fire Tragedy in which 59 people died in 1997. He is also appearing pro bono in the Supreme Court of India for the Victims in the in case of ‘Meerut Fire Tragedy’ in which 64 people died.
