The Federation of Indian Export Organisations represents the Indian entrepreneurs spirit of enterprise in the global market. Known popularly as "FIEO", this apex body was set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry in the year 1965. FIEO is thus a partner of the Government of India in promoting India's international trade. Directly and indirectly FIEO represents the interests of over 100,000 exporters/importers of India. Around 20,000 companies - big, medium and small from every industry sector, including services sector, are registered directly with FIEO. FIEO is thus one point contact for every industry sector in India.

FIEO serves as a platform between the industry and the Government of India to highlight the industry issues and help them resolve in the best interest of the country.

FIEO organises approximately one trade promotional programme a day through its 16 offices spread across India - New Delhi (Head Quarter), Kanpur, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati and Ranchi.
