About Butterflies NGO in U-4, Green Park Extension, New Delhi

Butterflies has earned recognition worldwide for its innovative, realistic and relevant programmes for street and working children. Empowering these children with knowledge and skills to exit out of the cycle of illiteracy and poverty is what we strive for. It reaches out to 3000 children through various interventions in all project areas and positively influenced lives of more than 44000 children since its inception.

Our activities include Education , saving schemes, Bal Vikas Khazana (Children’s Development Khazana ), Child Health co-operative,Life skill education, vocational training, Children’s media (Delhi Children’s Times ,Butterflies Broadcasting Children-a radio group of children and Bal Rang Manch- a street theatre group of children), Alliance building (to network with other like minded NGOs at city, national and international level) and Advocacy and Research Centre (ARC). We initiated the Delhi Child Rights Club which has 16 NGOs from Delhi as its member. Butterflies is also the nodal agency for Childline (A toll free telephone help line for the children in distress) in south Delhi.
