About Shruti's RecyKala Adda in Nerul, Navi Mumbai (New Mumbai)

As our name suggests, we at Shruti’s RecyKala Adda provide stylish yet affordable products made out waste. Our offerings include home and office utility items, décor, furniture, artististic products, installations, artefacts etc.

What prompted me take this step?
Looking at the universal problem of ever increasing waste and ineffective dumping facilities which is leading to pollution all over Mumbai, I decided to do something about it.

My focus is on Dry Waste Management. I have already tied up with highly dynamic and creative team at Green Society Forum. The team has already worked on many projects with civic body NMMC like Bus day, Mother India Installation from mother boards, TWD car decoration from waste and Junk Music at mayors’ marathon.

The products are much cheaper than conventional products as they are made from waste plastic bottles, glass bottles, cycle chains, tennis balls, used clothes , newspapers, suitcases, motherboards, number plates , bulbs ,tetra packs, keyboards etc.

We have also tied up with farmers to promote Seed art (Sculptors and paintings made out of seeds).The profit from will be shared with needy farmers.

We also conduct workshops teaching how to reach Zero Waste by 4Rs (Reduce, reuse, recycle and Retain)

Awareness of our green products will reduce waste going to dump yards. We also want popularize the concept of waste to wealth which will make our city cleaner and greener.
