.AWMD is a Charitable Organization started in 1988-89 at Mysore-Karnataka,by Cynthia and Manohar in response to the desperate need of 2 small children and 2 adults. The Main focus of this Organization was to create simple non-Institutional model of therapeutic service and rehabilitation of people with mental disabilities from the urban slums and the rural poor.

AWMD - believes that a mentally disabled child is special in eyes of God, and has equal right to life, love,care,education and training and to be integrated into the family and society,irrespective of any caste,creed or community.

AWMD- is committed in empowering care givers, and motivate & train them in their child's early Intervention and training.
