KERALA IN MUMBAI a English Monthly published by Vibrant Printing & Publishing Pvt. Ltd., dedicated to the Malayalee population of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and in Thane District, wherein considering the fact that a vast generation of Youth in this Community, not proficient enough to read and comprehend Malayalam and also the nuances of Malayalam language. We have indeed planned to bring a Malayalam edition too in the near future.

Over the last eight decades as Malayalees came to Mumbai for employment and business, or in transit, there has been a growing alienation from traditional Malayalee ethos, manifest in succeeding generations. As many Malayalees settled down in and around Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane District, they found their children and grand children unable to read or write Malayalam, in spite of being Highly Educated. The curriculum for schools and colleges, based on the three language formula, provided no scope for mastering their mother tongue. Their occasional visits to their parents’ state would generate affection and love for their kith and kin in Kerala. So much is for their affinity to their roots. Realizing the growing alienation of these migrants from Kerala and wishing to draw them back to their roots,
KERALA IN MUMBAI devotes itself to provide information and knowledge of Malayalee culture, traditions, rites and rituals, festivals and trends in their walks of life. It has been our experience that more firmly one is committed to her or his roots, the better INDIAN s/he becomes.

In the present day conditions, with the opening of the information highways like the Internet, wherein a dozen of sources like E-mail, Google etc are available at a click. Thus its utmost to provide a chronicle of interest month after month for the Malayalee youth.
KERALA IN MUMBAI seek to uphold the highest standards of ethics of journalism and draw the best out of every reader, enthuse and motivate her or him to realize their origin and do what they could do to enrich it in their own way. In an age crass commercialization, we would, promote a modern, progressive and scientific outlook in all that is published in these Magazine.
