Mrs. Supriya Rathi Bagri, the Founder & CEO of RoboVR, saw the scope of Robotics in India and decided to fill the gap by something fun & revolutionary. An MSc in Intelligent Robotics & a State level Basketball player, RoboVR was started in 2016 with a dream to combine her two passions, Robotics & Sports.

Supriya is determined to take RoboVR universally recognized as a visionary Robotics education institute & a leading Robot Sports competition from India to be organized worldwide. RoboVR is thus aiming to become the Olympics of Robots.

RoboVR started educating schools & college students through Robotic workshops in Mumbai. They now have a team which specializes in educating students in building Sports Robots.

In 2016, the 1st edition of the annual Robot Sports Competition RoboVR 2016 hosted by RoboVR was launched at IIT Bombay's Techfest. Since then, RoboVR became the pioneers in building a community of Robots playing Human sports against other Robots in India. The community is well connected & growing on our RoboVR Facebook page.

RoboVR 2017, the 2nd edition is announced on 29th-30th December 2017 at IIT Bombay's Techfest which will see 1,65,000+ visitors. Students from 2500+ engineering colleges in India and abroad will build Robots who will compete against other Robots in Robot Sports like Football, Basketball, boxing, golf, archery & 24+ more sports!
