About Kamlabai Educational & Charitable Trust in Tagore Nagar, Vikroli East, Mumbai

Education is something which is not only concerned with Academics, but it also deals with a lot other factors in the society. Kamlabai Educational & Charitable trust works on such factors as well apart from academicsl!!

Since its Inauguration in January 1998, KECT is recognized as one of the most successful NGO in terms of students as well as achievements. Dr. Pawan G. Agrawal is the Founder President of this Kamlabai Educational & Charitable trust which is named after his Mother - Kamlabai G. Agrawal.

Agrawal Computer Centre Was the institute to join hands with the trust. It was started in 1998 itself along with the trust. Just a fact to share - Till that Vikhroli had no bigger computer class in entire area, and Agrawal computer center thus become the first and yet uncomparable centre in vikhroli whose legacy has been still untouched. Today Agrawal Computer centre has more than 50 courses for age group ranging from 4 years to 60 years. Any person within this age group can easily get into ACC and nourish themselves. This is the essence of KECT.

Agrasen Hindi Vidyalaya & Junior college was next in the line. As time passed by Vikhroli east developed wisely, Vikhroli west (Park site) was still struggling a lot. So in the years 2000, A school with hindi medium was started at such places with the moto to let people at least develop through education and literate them at the least possible fees! This moto was well served, as the admissions went in full swing and the same is still continuing. People are getting quality education which they never dreamt of. Mr. Ashok Pardeshi is the Headmaster incharge of this unit since its installation.

St. Agrasen High School & Junior college, Kalwa was the next school which was added at yet another deprived locality - Kalwa. The place where barely people have to eat, at such a school was started in the year 2003. The People of kalwa mainly comprised of Mazdoor category, who hardly had anything to let their children study. so at such place the trust came up with its another school with Hindi and English Medium both! The people got a helping hand. People of kalwa started to learn - learn with quality at very low cost and today we have more than 2500 students taking education whole heartedly in this school. Mr. Dinesh Yadav is the headmaster incharge of this school since a long time!

Mansarovar Vidyalaya & Junior College, Kamote was also started along with in 2003 with a aim to educate the then undeveloped regions of panvel. The school is richest from the point of view of infrastructure. All the three mediums - English, hindi & Marathi were started in full swing here! Still the school is considered to be the finest one kamote with yearly intake of around 1500 students.

Agrawal Institue of Management and Technology, was started in 2005, the management institute which comprises of the Master as as the bachelor degree course in management like MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, etc. The Institute is affiliated with Tilak Maharshtra Vidyapeeth, Pune & YCMOU, Nashik and Bharti Vidypeeth, Pune. The whole unit works in a professional manner to train the management student in the best possible way!

Apart from these units, KECT also has some literacy programme for Mumbai Dabbawalas, wherein we give free computer lessons to them and their children as well. We also run free library for deprived people who can opt for books and study as well!!
