About SVRR in Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded, Tardeo Municipal School Building, Bane Compound, Tardeo,, Mumbai

SVRR is a non-profit, non-commercial organisation dedicated to the rehabilitation and welfare of the mentally challenged persons. The Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded (SVRR) was founded in the month of June 1965, by the laborious efforts of Smt. Nandini Divatia. She realised the lack of formal institution for the mentally challenged individuals. Her belief was that such individuals can be trained to tap their potential, in order to become self sufficient and independent.

At SVRR, our main aim and objective is to raise the efficiency of mentally challenged persons through the means of proper guidance and counselling. The main objective of SVRR is to impart training by simple and routine work, in order to rehabilitate such individuals and make them self-sufficient.
