About The Great Punjab in Linking Road, Bandra (W), Mumbai

The Great Punjab Bandra was incorporated on 13th of April, 1981, Monday. A day after the space shuttle Columbia was launched in the US, It was promoted by Mr. Harpal Singh Gandhi who earlier used to run the family business at Dadar’s Great Punjab, He with his sons Ravipal Singh Gandhi (Consultant Chef) and Amarpal Singh Gandhi started the “The Great Punjab” at Linking Road, Bandra after branching out of the family business and starting his own venture.

Soon the “The Great Punjab” Bandra became one of the top few restaurants in the city to serve Authentic Punjabi Cuisine with a personal touch of love and tenderness. The restaurant was and is still a hit among people from all walk of life.

Some of the clientele includes personalities like Rahul D'cunha, Naseeruddin Shah, Dilip Tahil, Archana Puran Singh, Siddharth Kak to name a few.

The Great Punjab is now operated by the 2nd and 3rd Generation of Mr. Harpal Singh Gandhi, his son Amarpal Singh Gandhi who himself is a graduate from the Dadar Catering College and his grandson Sameer Singh Gandhi also a Catering Graduate from Sophia are dealing with the customer the same way as Mr. Harpal Singh Gandhi used to do.
The Great Punjab, Bandra has also branched out in other cities and countries, The Pune branch of The Great Punjab is handled by Mr. Tejpal Singh Gandhi and has 2 outlets of the restaurant in Pune city, Mr. Ravipal Singh Gandhi has started his restaurant in Sydney, Australia under the banner “Raavi’s Cumin”.

The Great Punjab, Bandra also has banquet facility which can cater 15 to 150 persons, which is quit popular with corporate for functions, seminars and presentations.
