At core, Abhijeet Rane is a businessman trapped in the skin of a warrior Maratha clan. His grandfather was a highly decorated army officer. He or anybody else in his family had no experience of handling money and material. “If you can do it, so can I,” was his logic. He took contracts and did small, paltry works, which others would not. That gave him confidence. He never thought what others think of him. They think of others because they’re blessed with some idle time, was his conviction. If at all he had a complaint, it was: why a day has only 24 hours? This made him accomplish all that in the teeth of the worst recession of past many decades. Besides printing, publishing and advertising business, Abhijeet made big in tours & travels, construction and distribution lines.
