I have had the good fortune of finding a career in the fashion industry that suits my abilities, offers challenges, and brings excitement; it has also introduced me to many hard working people. As a student of regional vocational training institute of women’s (dress making) Mumbai, I discovered that patternmaking was my area of expertise. After taking teaching full time in one of the renounced institute of fashion designing ¸I began to move in the industry as pattern consultant.....for designers and exporters .....This added a value to my teaching skills as students appreciated the knowledge and showed motivational interest in the subject and suggested that I should start specialisation courses for pattern making in various streams like men’s wear, ladies wear, and children’s wear. I discussed the contents of the proposal with other colleagues, students and industrial people .with their inputs and my own knowledge as pattern consultant and instructor I took up the project....RIIA FASHION ACADEMY
