A School of Promise

The House of Montessori (THoM) is committed to a fully-implemented Montessori practice for children aged between two-and-half years to six years of age. We endeavor to partner with families in order to create a happy enviroment for the children. At The House of Montessori we believe in nurturing each child’s well-rounded development. This is the Montessori perspective put into practice.

Parent-Teacher Partnership
“Parents as partners” sums up our view on this relationship. Without a strong school-home partnership we cannot fully serve the child’s needs. We seek to build bridges here, share information and ensure that the child’s overall life experience has as much consistency as possible. At The House of Montessori, sustained communications will take place by phone, e-mail, and at pick up and drop off. Twice a year, parents will be invited for parent-teacher conferences.

Qualified and Compassionate Professionals
Our teachers are professionally trained in Montessori education. Beyond qualifications, our teachers are also passionate about children and we believe that the dedication and enthusiasm of teachers will positively reflect in the development and happiness of the children.

The "prepared environment" is Maria Montessori's concept that the environment can be designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by the child. At The House of Montessori our classroom environments are meticilously planned where the children work on activities of their own choice at their own pace. They experience a blend of freedom and self-discipline in a place especially designed to meet their developmental needs.
