About Al Madhyam in St Aloysius College, Mangalore

Founded in June 2001, Al-Madhyam is popularly known as the media forum of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. Al-Madhyam was created in order to provide students an identity of their own and give them an opportunity to conduct programs, activities and competitions all under one banner. This was also meant to be an opportunity for non-Journalism students to be a part of the world of mass media.

Al-Madhyam in its 1st year had about 20-30 members while today in its 13th year boasts a strength of 60 odd members. The association is known for its original and creative ideas and line-ups. Every year Al-Madhyam hosts a number of competitions and events including seminars and workshops.
