Mangalagiri “Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy” Temple:

The temple is located in the middle of Mangalagiri Hill. It is said that, God is Self-Existent in this temple. Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy takes Panakam (Jaggery Water) as an offering from the devotees. It is believed that God takes some of the Panakam through the mouth and gives back some to the devotees as Prasadam. The interesting fact of Mangalagiri Panakala Lakshmi Swamy Temple is, you will not find any ant in and around of the temple despite of Panakam, in general Jaggery water will attracts the ants but in this temple we will not find any ants.

Mangalagiri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple is located 12 kilometres from Vijayawada and 25 Kilometres from Guntur. You can reach the temple by steps or through Ghat road.

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located at the foot of the Mangalagiri Hill. It is said that “DharmaRaju” (The Eldest of Pandavs) installed the main deity in the temple. The temple Gali Gopuram is one of the largest gopuras in India. The height of the gopuram is 153 feet. Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Brahmothsavam (Mangalagiri Tirunala) is a very famous festival in the town.
