Vatsalya was set up as a resource centre on health in the year 1995 by group of medical professionals, to contribute for the consistent endeavor towards enhancing capacity of individuals and communities to understand comprehensive framework of “Health” in terms of science and art. Our major issues for intervention have been declining child sex ratio and female feticide, child malnutrition and community based new born care, micro nutrient deficiencies and maternal & adolescent health, HIV/AIDS, child protection etc.
Vatsalya preliminary aims at strengthening and empowering the micro NGOs working on health issues at grass root level and advocating health imbalances prevalent in the society and is committed towards the capacity building of the functionaries of all levels, enriching literature in easy to understand language, strengthening the ongoing attempt by providing consultancy services and marching towards a harmonious healthy society by advocating for social health issues.
