It is a Roman Catholic Church (RC) in the diocese of Palayamkottai consisting of good number of faithful from Kovilpatti and nearby Villages. It is a very active parish consisting of seven substations: Puthukiramam, Illupaiyurani, Lingampatti, Appaneri, Viravanchi Nagar, Kasavankundru and Pandavar Mangalam. The parish is taken care by Fr. Peter A. along with the assistant and Parish Council. The focus in the church are creating prayerful atmosphere to the faithful, facilitating their inner journey towards God, fellow brothers and sisters and oneself. All activities in the church are focused on developing their personality, character, social affinity and altruistic attitude.
